Some highlights of 2006
Another year has gone by- incredible how quickly it went. Time to look back. Time to reflect about successes and failures, time to remember the laughs and tears, time to think of the people who entered your life and the ones who left. There are many moments that are worth being remembered, the list would be too long. Thus, here comes a collection of some.
Highlights of 2006- ten moments to remember
April: ITC 2006
If I had to pick my best AIESEC conference out of all, this would have to be THE one. 10 days that still now seem as if I were on another planet! The funniest and most amazing faci team and an even better home group! Words failed me during closing plenary, the experience was this intense. Thinking of you Mokthalef!
June: WENA transition weekend
It was so cool to be able to hand over to people that have the same aspirations and dreams for WENA. And you just know these guys are going to rock: Mairi, Hinnerk, Majken and Zuzka. Thanks for the wonderful meal you cooked for us. Another thing I will definitely remember about this weekend was our visit at BOOM CHICAGO in Amsterdam. I haven’t laughed that much in years, just awesome!
July: Weekend “in the Eggä”
There is not so much that can top the feeling of going to a mountain hut for 2 days with friends you have known for 19 years, have fun, drink wine, relax and play cards until 3 am! Merci!
August: ScaLDS in Denmark
Some of the most impressive food I ever experienced at a conference. Some of the funniest and random pre-meeting moments ever. Some of the best conversations all year. Some friends for life.
September: Climbing on the Veitsch
This autumn during my holidays in Austria, I had the opportunity to go climbing with my uncle. Not much that tops the feeling of being out there in nature, it’s just you and the rock, this realization that there no space for mistakes, this sense of pride once you made it to the top- despite bleeding fingers, this feeling of complete satisfaction.
Oktober: Oktoberfest in Munich
13.5 hours in a party tent. 5000 people standing on the benches and singing. A lot of beer. :-)Getting to know our Italian friends. My cousins and me in the middle of all this. A party that needs to be experienced!
November: Listening to the speech of Beat Krippendorf
The first (!) time in six years I felt truly inspired by a lecture. This guy is amazing. Gosh, if only one in ten lectures could be like this, university would be heaven! If only one day I’d be able to have such presentation skills like him…- mission accomplished! :-)
November: MC reunion 2003-20004 in London
Even though we didn’t bet any kebabs this time, we still had a LOT of fun together: during the day chilling and shopping in Greenwich, in the evening the FANTASTIC musical Billy Elliot, after the show the games at Selims place. It was so good seeing you all again- Augusto, it was so good to have you on the phone with us! Can’t wait for the 9.9.2009!
December: Weekend with Louise
A whole weekend dedicated to the change we want to see in education. Inspiring. Aspiring. – I’m so grateful that I’m able to have such great discussions. Looking forward to turning passion into action!:-)
December: University excursion to Grindelwald
Finally getting the feeling that university is a good place after all! Getting to know heaps of new people, interesting presentations, playing “strip Meier”, dancing all night long, sculpture building competitions in the woods, visit to Jungfraujoch despite seeing nothing at all…
2006 a good year! I can't wait to see what 2007 has in store for me!

Hey Caro!
ScaLDS was also one of my top moments for the year. I genuinely felt like we had a team. Remember that discussion in Louise's kitchen?

Oh yeah, definitely :-)
Hard to forget those! - Some were quite random though, yet sooo funny! - It's SOGA time, so we should really include some of the questions we came up with...:-)
happy new year to you too!
i will be here, so let me know nearer the time where (Xi'an?) or when you'll be by.

You're right. Even without snowboarding Grindelwald was great! I'll never forget strip mayer and the discussions on top of Europe!
