my last few weeks

I've been a bit slack with updating my blog lately- apologies for that! But since even CK managed to update his blog today, I thought that I better get my act together now! (please don't get me wrong CK- I was thrilled to read about adventures in Cambodia and I'm looking forward to hearing more! :-))
Instead of writing long posts, I decided to let pictures speak. So some of my highlights of the last couple of weeks:

1st highlight: MC 03-04 reunion
in London: for details please refer to Jo's blog !
2nd highlight: Education weekend
Louise and I spending a weekend here in Switzerland discussing the "ideal university and education system" as well as looking into what our contribution in making a positive impact in this field could be. A weekend filled with mindstretching and inspiring conversations!

3rd highlight: Chairing the National Conference 06 in Portugal
Once chairing an MCP election process is something that has been a personal goal of mine for a long time and now it has been reached! Besides that whole conference was a really good experience for me:Again, I learnt a lot, not only about a new AIESEC reality, but also about myself. I guess that’s what still keeps me going in AIESEC, you never know what is in store when throw yourself into the adventure of chairing and then you just take it from there and try to make the best of the situation. I JUST LOVE it!

Here a picture of the MCP election announcement:

As well a picture I took while going for a short walk on the beach next to the conference site:

4th highlight: Hasliberg
meeting with Verena and Dean in Hasliberg. So good to see old friends again! Thanks for such a fun afternoon!

A small girl bringing a lot of joy into my life- or being a godmother

I’ve been wanting to post something about this little girl (and I’m not talking about me ;-)) for a while now.
This little girl is called Joelle and is my godchild. Last Wednesday she left Switzerland together with her parents and her little brother to start a new life in New Zealand. This post is dedicated to her.

So Joelle, this message is for you:

Thank you for bringing so much joy into my life during the last four and a half years,
Thank you for letting me see the world again through children eyes,
Thank you for teaching me again how to play,
Thank you for showing me how simple the world can be,
Thank you for our dances in the living room,
Thank you for your warm smiles and big hugs,
Thank you for reminding me what life is all about!

Joelle, I miss you already and I can’t wait to see you and your family again in July 2007!

Sending you big hugs to the other side of the world,
Diis Gotti Caroline
